Marine mammal noise exposures

The noise that is generated when offshore wind turbines are installed can harm marine animals. To prevent this, numerical models are used to predict the number of marine animals that might experience either injury or behavioral disturbance. The results from these studies are often reported in tabular format in highly technical reports, and it can be difficult to quickly glean insights.

In this dashboard, we show some “toy data” presented as a set of interactive visualizations (including one interactive table!). This allows a user to quickly and efficiently understand the high-level findings, and supports efficient and informed decision-making.
